As a senior artist for M·A·C Cosmetics, Romero Jennings creates lavish, exotic, and beautiful looks for celebrities including Mary J. Blige, Toni Collette, David Schwimmer, Fran Drescher, Naomi Campbell, and Rosamund Pike. He’s worked with all ages—from a 6-month-old baby to octogenarian chanteuse Eartha Kitt. In his 23 years with M·A·C, he has created makeup for Broadway plays, music videos, fashion shows, and magazines. Jennings, who moved to New York when he was 6, can trace his sensitivity to color back to his childhood in Kingston, Jamaica, where, he says, colors are more vivid than anywhere else he’s traveled.

After majoring in Fashion Design at FIT, Jennings lived in Japan for five years. While assisting a Japanese designer, he was asked to do makeup for a catalogue, and his passion was ignited; soon he was assisting top makeup artists and doing makeup for music videos and fashion shows. Jennings cultivated both his art and tactile finesse in Japan, perfecting a “gentle touch.” While he stays on top of new technology and new formulas, he remains true to his philosophy.

John BarrettJohn Barrett, Hair Styling

For more than a decade, John Barrett has styled some of the world’s most fashionable women. He believes hair should be a glamorous extension of who the client is inside. While he eschews creating anything that could be called a signature cut, Barrett nonetheless strives to give all his clients the same thing: a clean, warm, modern look that melds the glamour and grace of uptown with all the youth and vitality of downtown. The John Barrett Salon is located on the penthouse floor of New York’s Bergdorf Goodman.

Halli BivonaHalli Bivona, Lead Stylist for John Barrett

It’s no surprise that Halli trained directly under Mr. Barrett. Her preternatural gift for executing skillful cuts is matched by her bouncy, glamorous blow-outs. A lover of all things fashion, and a runway-watcher who follows all the top magazines and style blogs, Halli’s vision is razor sharp, while her style is effortless and fun. She works wonders with extensions or Barrett’s Braids, but she also knows how to tame troubled tresses, and her Lasio and keratin treatments are in great demand. “Your hair is the only accessory you wear everyday,” she says. “A good style can change your whole look.” Halli’s work has been featured in Vogue, Marie Claire, and Elle magazines, and can be seen on the runway during New York’s fashion week.
