Stylist

Suzette LaValle has spent over 25 years in the fashion industry. Originally from Brooklyn, she began her career in her early twenties traveling to Paris regularly after landing her first buying position, where she was featured in a New York Times article on the discovery of a new accessory that became all the rage.

She went on to spend 12 years as a fashion stylist, winning the prestigious Black Book “Best Styling” award for an advertising campaign, alongside the famous fashion photographer Francesco Scavullo. Through the years she worked continuously with top fashion magazines Bazaar, Elle, Interview, and Surface, and many more. She has styled celebrities including Mark Wahlberg and Rosario Dawson.

For several years, LaValle was a visual merchandiser for many of New York City’s hottest shops, until she opened her own store in Brooklyn in 2015. Vanity Fair and New York Times fashion and style editor Rachel Felder wrote, “In this female-centric store the items are so well chosen and merchandised that almost everyone who comes in ends up buying something.”
