Sportswear

I first learned to sew from my grandma when I was very young, first just sewing buttons onto my doll’s dresses and later creating entire outfits for them. I always knew growing up that I wanted to make clothing. Now in my final semester at FIT, specializing in Sportswear, I have began to work with manipulating fabrics and creating my own textiles. For my senior thesis, I took inspiration from the organic shapes and lines found in caves and the idea of painting with the fabric, essentially creating wearable art. Two years ago, I would’ve called myself a minimalist. Now, I am far from that. My style is always shifting and evolving and I think that is what makes me the designer I am.
