With a master tailor as a grandmother and a very creative mom, I knew from an early age that I wanted to go into fashion design. I design because it is my favorite way to creatively escape from the world. I consider my aesthetic now to be classic with a young and colorful edge. When I design I like to use color and texture to add another layer to more classic silhouettes. I focus on designing my own textiles and adding interesting embellishments and embroidery. I like to be influenced and inspired by places I visit. For much of my childhood I was lucky enough to go to Europe every summer for three weeks. Those trips have continued to inspire me throughout my time at FIT.
