I was always creative as a child, and during high school I realized my best expression was through the clothes I wore. I dreamed of ways I could make outfits better, and began sewing and sketching my ideas, which led me to FIT. My designs can be found at the intersection of rugged industrialism and soft femininity. I explore the construction of clothing, the importance of silhouette on the female form, and most of all the ability to provide function as well as aesthetic. Sportswear allows me to the most freedom in my work, from extreme performance outerwear to chiffon cowl draped dresses.
