Born and raised in Brooklyn, I always managed to find creativity in my pain. I attended the High School of Fashion Industries in Chelsea, where my construction/technical skills were honed, propelling me to excel at my current alma mater—the Fashion Institute of Technology, with a double minor in Art History and Film and Media Studies. Being of Dominican/Mexican descent, I incorporate my diverse, multiethnic background in my concepts. Much of my work is a reflection of my views regarding current socio-political issues. My aesthetic introduces elevated New York streetwear in high-end fabrications. It is important that the clothes we make and wear make a strong statement about and influence change in our current socio-political climate.
