Da Capo

Photo of a girl wearing a maxi dress. She is leaning back, with her face turned to the side. The dress and cape have the same pink, lime and black abstract pattern. A cape attached to the dress is floating in the air. The sky is clear and there is a river behind the model.

Revisiting seven years of orchestral discipline, this collection takes its name from the musical term D.C., the abbreviation for Da Capo, which is Italian for "from the beginning." Used in sheet music, D.C. directs musicians to return to the start of the song, a motion resembling a loop. In my project, themes of precise continuity and repetitive rhythm envelop the silhouette, alluding to the soulful synchronization of a harmonious orchestra.
