My two pieces, inspired by folk art, are a collection of parts, a patchwork-inspired collection that pays homage to pieces of myself and to pieces of those who inspire me. I highlight the traditions of lacemaking, artwork, and handicraft, curated into multi-occasion pieces that honor feminine dressing. Mixing hand-dyed and hand-sewn embellishments onto cotton voile and lace expresses a certain sentimentality and connection to the body, which in turn connects to my artistic sensibility.
