This collection, inspired by the Mogao Caves, showcases Buddhist art from China. Buddhism says that no Buddha has gender, but the art work usually depicts them as a male, which betrays the idea of equity of everything. I aim to showcase women's power in this collection and emphasize the principle of equality in Buddhist teachings beyond feudal norms. My designs blend Mogao Cave's unique Buddhist art, with modern silhouettes. This cultural treasure in the desert deserves broader awareness.
