Tidal Purge

The pleats on the front and back of the upper body are cut with zero waste. The thread used for the pleats is fishing line, which adds firmness and also combines with the theme of ocean pollution, which accounts for the largest proportion of fishing nets. The hand-woven mohair decoration below represents scattered fishing nets. The self-supporting neckline resembles waves hitting rocks and sea creatures struggling to escape from fishing nets.

The two large bags on the cloak look like pieces of large foam and other ocean garbage. They are wrapped around a one-piece suit with a mesh decorated with blue waves inside. There are many blue and white lines on the cloak that look like fishing nets or jellyfish tentacles. The cloak is also blended with freely changeable resin to reflect that there are also many plastic wastes in ocean garbage.

Each piece in this collection is a statement, a call to action for ocean conservation. Through the designs in this line, I raise people's awareness of marine environmental issues and advocate for the protection of endangered species, the reduction of pollution such as plastics and fishing nets, and the protection of fragile aquatic habitats. The pieces are fabricated from plastic resin materials that can be reused to change shapes. I also used mohair weaving as decoration to mimic the shapes of aquatic plants.
