For this project I was inspired by the digital age of the 1970s, which saw the introduction of the personal computer as well as pixel images. My goal was to make make looks that are elegant, easy to wear, and unconventional. Both looks feature digitized elements of nature, which I created by first cutting shapes out of black or white gaffer tape. Then, after applying the tape to the wool fabric, I stitched on each piece to give the appearance of leather.
