Inspired by my love for classical Kathak dance, this collection explores the dynamic movement of fabric in relation to the movement of the body. The vibrant fabrication is drawn from my Bengali heritage, while the embellishments gaze into Kathak's soulful history and culture. Dramatic fabric manipulation and voluminous silhouettes capture the dancers’ audacious presence as they express themselves. Emulating the graceful gestures of their hands, the style lines flow organically around the body.
