My project is inspired by the colorful paper-cutting art of Chinese folk artist Kushulan, who is the master of the craft. Despite great hardship in her life (she was bound and tormented by traditional marriage and giving birth), she created a splendid artistic world of her own. I draw inspiration from the art she created to express her inner world and explore the meaning of marriage and giving birth.
