My thesis collection is made of different trims and finishings that I have sustainability sourced from my father's button shop. It includes hardware such as grommets and snaps, and other items like buttons. I also wanted to use this thesis project as an opportunity to take the time to learn why my father chose this occupation, as well as to learn as much as I can about his history in the NYC garment district and the machines that he operates on a daily basis.
