FIT Future of Fashion 2024

Dushane Noble

Born in Jamaica and raised in Brooklyn, Dushane Noble began his fashion journey not at a studio, but in a small tailor’s shop—a necessity turned passion. Raised by his mother, a hairstylist, Noble grew up with limited resources but an eye for style. When he couldn’t afford the clothes he admired, he learned to make them. A local tailor became his first mentor, sparking a lifelong devotion to craft, proportion, and the quiet power of clothing as identity.
After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Noble honed his skills at some of New York’s most respected fashion houses, including Oscar de la Renta, Peter Som, and Donna Karan. In 2008, he joined TSE, where he quickly rose to become one of the brand’s lead designers. His mastery of knitwear led him to Helmut Lang as senior knitwear designer from 2011 to 2014, and then to Narciso Rodriguez, where he was instrumental in defining and elevating the brand’s knitwear category over four years of close collaboration.
In 2018, Noble was tapped by Francesco Fucci to join Theory as director of knitwear. By April 2024, he was appointed head of design for Theory Women's Ready-to-Wear. Today, he leads the brand’s creative vision with a focus on meticulous craft, quiet innovation, and refined minimalism.
Noble’s work, rooted in function and informed by precision, reflects his life lived between cultures. Driven by a deep appreciation for clothing as an expression of our complex interior worlds, he has built his career one stitch at a time.
