Benoit Dumont
Dior Makeup Artist

Benoit Dumont’s extensive background in cosmetics began at the esteemed Institut Technique du Maquillage in Paris, where he concentrated in special effects and theatrical makeup. During his studies, Dumont developed a skill for designing and creating prosthetics, and sharpened his techniques for face and body painting, as well as airbrushing. His work has graced the pages in numerous international publications such as Vogue, Elle (Quebec), In Style (Russia), Gala (France), Hola (Spain), Annabelle (Switzerland), Irish Tatler, and The Daily Telegraph (UK).
Dumont has perfected his makeup artistry technique via high-fashion runway shows, taking part as a member of François Nars’ team during New York, Paris, and London Fashion Weeks, working shows such as Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, Alexander Wang, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Thakoon, Rag & Bone, Acne, Amanda Wakeley, David Koma, JW Anderson, Christopher Kane, Roland Mouret, and Bouchra Jarrar.
Other prestigious runway shows include Victoria’s Secret, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Balmain, Hermès, Off-White, Hugo Boss, Elie Saab, Schiaparelli, and Proenza Schouler, where he had the chance to assist lead makeup artists Diane Kendal, Val Garland, Dick Page, and Tom Pecheux.
Aside from editorial and high fashion, Dumont has worked with celebrity clients, including Uma Thurman, Chloe x Halle, Paris Jackson, Daphne Guinness, Rosario Dawson, Ava DuVernay, and Maye Musk.
Dumont had the opportunity to assist Peter Philips, creative and image director of Christian Dior Makeup, on a photoshoot for Dior Magazine. Since then, Dumont has become an active member of the Dior backstage team, taking part in Paris Fashion Week runway shows for haute couture and ready-to-wear. Dumont’s favorite Dior Beauty products are: One Essential, to detoxify the skin for brighter, fresher skin; and Airflash Foundation, because it creates the perfect canvas for makeup with a weightless finish.
