Knit pieces transformed into rain gear with top-applied waterproofing

For Into the Mangroves, I pulled inspiration from the intricately delicate ecosystem of tropical mangroves to create garments that transport audiences into the endangered wetlands. By engulfing wearers in soft natural fibers, strategically knit to reflect the beauty of these disappearing areas, the importance and enchantment of mangroves can be highlighted and worn anywhere.

Top applied knit elements and embroidery add a textured/painterly effect. Some items have been vinyl coated to become waterproof.
