The Wind Beneath My Wings

A dramatic and voluminous gown made entirely of layers of soft and stiff blue tulle. A sculptural element at the bodice that bursts out resembles an oversized, abstract floral. The skirt cascades down in tiered layers, giving it a cloud-like, ethereal quality. The overall color palette is a gradient of light blue. The gown resembles my mom in full bloom.

The outfit features a soft, sheer peach organza overlay with voluminous ruffles concentrated on the upper body and hips, creating a dramatic, cloud-like effect. This sheer organza cape extends into a floor-length train, adding elegance and movement. The off-white satin mini dress features delicate peach and white floral embroidery.

The Wind Beneath My Wings is inspired by my mom. My mom is the wind beneath my wings; in the short amount of time we had together on this earth, she has inspired me, she has given me purpose, she has guided me, and she has kept me going. She is my light, my love, my life, and my purpose. There would be no wind beneath my wings if it wasn't for my mother who has shaped who I am today and who I will be tomorrow. This collection is influenced by my greatest inspiration. It is a dedication to my mom.
