Volto Indipendente reinterprets Venice’s Carnevale as a modern celebration of independence and self-expression. Inspired by my Italian heritage and my father’s immigrant journey, this collection blends prints, handmade by me, of bold stripes and polka dots to contrast the red hues. Feathers and corsetry, traditional Carnevale attire, are also included, while lace is used to symbolize self-expression. Balancing structure and freedom, these designs honor Venice’s past while celebrating resilience.
