A moment of warm sun on my skin

sunshine and shadows, never have I felt this within.

A sense of hope and happiness,

a sense of belongingness.

I’ve searched mile after mile,

a form of connection, haven’t felt this in a while.

Love I seek from the universe

embracing the body my soul inhabits.

Turning my blood from blue to yellow

fixing things it didn’t mellow,

this is a love letter to the beautiful sun,

that never fails to leave me stunned.
