This collection channels the feelings of the matriarchal presence that accompanies creation. The skills that have followed these women from generation to generation, even while living in conditions that forced them to be self-sustaining. The importance of learning a craft and passing it down was something instilled in me from a young age. In an ode to the women who came before me, I thank them for making me who I am through the conceptual interpretation of what it means to work with your hands.
