Family is at the heart of this collection. Some of my most cherished memories come from sailing with my family, working together to maneuver the ropes and guide the sailboat forward. That act of coordination serves as a metaphor for familial bonds: complex, at times tangled or knotted, but ultimately strong and intertwined. This collection draws from that symbolism, exploring how our relationships, especially those bound by blood, shape and anchor us, even in their most complicated forms.
