I wanted my project to encapsulate the fluid/futuristic feel of the Gen X soft club aesthetic, combined with the structured, protective element of chainmail from medieval armor. The result is intended to reflect the duality of contemporary female empowerment. Hand-linked chain mail shift, using over 10,000 individual 8mm jump rings overlays a gray, transparent-vinyl, kimono-sleeve underdress.
