Marks on the Skin

Marks on the Skin explores the beauty and significance of scars—stretch marks, surgical scars, and other imprints of life—reframing them as symbols of identity rather than imperfections. Inspired by the transformation of the pregnant body, the silhouette embraces organic curves and volume, celebrating change and resilience. Zippers serve as a central design element, representing both the physical and emotional process of healing, closure, and strength. Through this project, I seek to challenge conventional beauty standards, highlighting the narratives that our bodies carry with pride.
