FIT Future of Fashion 2024

LIRIO

The dress represents the duality between the organic and the architectural, playing with shapes that convey both movement and structure.

Interpreting the idea of the stem of the calla lily, I created bias-cut tape placed diagonally. To achieve a better silhouette, I added metal boning inside the corset.

The dress has pink diagonal stripes on bias in the center with metallic boning.

On the side seams of the skirt, I added pockets, and the fluting is made from different weights of organza cut on the bias. I sewed it onto the tulle to represent the shapes of the calla lily.

The skirt has beige organza pockets with facings. The skirt flares lightly with playful fluting.

The panels on the bust are also organic and arranged in a way that highlights the symmetrical detailing, while remaining minimal since they are in the same color as the dress.

The bust area has designed symmetrical panels that are also a representation of the calla lily.

To make the pants practical, I added two welt pockets in the back and two side seam pockets on each side. They are not only comfortable but also functional. To add a twist, I made the pockets in gold organza to create a nice contrast between the color of the pants and the fabrics, making them both wearable and chic.

The Lirio collection is a reflection of transformation, memory, and the unseen connections that shape us. Inspired by the calla lily, the designs embody both delicacy and strength, with sculptural draping and fluid movement that feel romantic, strong, and alive. It is the idea of the unique beauty that never fades away.
