Illusion of Control

The look features a moderately transparent ivory blouse layered with a modular leather cami. The top is paired with an architectural low-waisted A-line skirt. The sharp lines and controlled proportions form a modern take on classic femininity.

The tie-back blouse features neatly gathered folds that contrast with the sleekness of the front. The back panel of the blouse and the cap sleeves are patterned as a single piece, allowing for a seamless drape over the back shoulder without any interruptions. This design plays with perspective and gives the illusion that while the viewer is observing the back of the outfit, it can also be worn in that way.

The highly structured design features a continuous seam through the sleeves and shoulder blades, eliminating the back arm sleeve and including a hidden dart at the underarm. This allows the back sleeve to flow into a fan-like gathering, which is cinched by a removable belt for additional styling and silhouette options.

My collection is a discussion on the illusion of control, highlighting uniformity and not trusting all things at first glance, but recognizing that all things are influenced by some other driving force.
