The theme of my project is the mental and physical aftermath of sexual violence, and overall, of being a woman. My project is meant to evoke feelings of being trapped and immobile. Wanting to hide away and lock up your body, so that no one can see it or touch it. Surviving certain events will make you feel crazy, lonely, unbalanced, isolated, and trapped. You are stuck in your body. To some, being a woman is just that, being a body. This project speaks to the discomfort of being a woman.
