Muted Wings

A model wearing a patchwork jacket made of shredded secondhand suits in dark tweed colors.

100% sustainable jacket: shredded secondhand suiting hints at the shedding of corporate restraints.

Two models posing in full-length gowns. One gown is a sheer power mesh dress with a long train pooled on the floor. The other gown is black and gathered asymmetrically. Over the gown, the model wears the patchwork jacket made of shredded suiting material.

Both looks shown. Sheer dress is entirely hand-dyed, a “Wall Street butterfly.”

Detailed, full-length shot of the long black skirt, shown from the back. The skirt features randomly placed ruching and gathering.

A draped skirt is made of suiting material, an unconventional approach to office attire.

Close-up of the top of a black top with pleated neckline, worn with the patchwork jacket made of shredded secondhand suiting material.

Blouse features a seamless pattern in tie and a detachable collar.

The sheer dress shown from the waist down, worn by a model in motion. Layers of skirting material are flying outward revealing a range of dark and muted pastel colors. The fluttering effect of the diaphanous fabric resembles butterfly wings.

Finally breaking free from the restraints of the corporate world.

Inspired by metamorphosis, Muted Wings explores transformation within a structured environment. Traditional office wear is reimagined to mirror a butterfly's life cycle, symbolizing the constraints of corporate norms on personal expression. The shredded jacket, crafted from secondhand suits, represents a butterfly breaking free from its cocoon, shedding the limitations of what "you’re supposed to wear." Meant to encourage others to embrace individuality, adding depth to their own muted wings …
