Peter Do was born in Bien Hoa, Vietnam, and immigrated to suburban Philadelphia at 14. He studied Fashion Design at FIT in New York, earning the inaugural 2014 LVMH Graduate Prize. He began his career at Celine under Phoebe Philo, and later worked at Derek Lam. A two-time LVMH Prize winner (2014, 2020), he has also received CFDA nominations for Emerging Designer and Designer of the Year and was a finalist for the International Woolmark and ANDAM Prizes. In 2023, he was appointed creative director of Helmut Lang, where he brought a precise, modernist vision to the brand. After his tenure, he stepped down to focus fully on his namesake label, PETER DO, continuing to develop an independent practice rooted in craftsmanship, collaboration, and innovation.
