Art has always been a means of expression through all its mediums. Through the surrealism of different art movements, artists have attempted to capture the vague and surreal nature of wading through the mindscape, combining that with the romanticism and decorativeness of Gothic art paints a striking image of depth, contrast, beauty, and oddity. In this project, I attempt to reconcile these feelings in my own work, with deep jewel tones, heavy beading, and exaggerated proportion.
