Vertigo
I took inspiration from the vertigo effect, a cinematography technique where the camera moves closer or farther while zooming in or out at the same time, keeping the subject consistent while the background distorts unnaturally. I want to use this as a metaphor to capture the time warp within my parents’ lives. By incorporating original film of my parents from when they were my age, I aim to show how the world around us changes (distorts) over time, yet the memories and photos remain constant.
