Faculty Profile – Philippa Lindenthal

Philippa Lindenthal
Philippa Lindenthal is a fashion designer and associate professor in the Department of Fashion Design at FIT. She has extensive experience as a designer for high-end brands such as DKNY, Jil Sander, Moschino, and Rene Lezard. She also taught internationally at various institutions, including ESMOD Berlin and HAW Hamburg.
In 2005 Lindenthal founded her label of the same name (www.philippalindenthal.com) with women's, knitwear, and men's fashion. Her numerous innovative collections have been shown at Berlin Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, and other international events.

She holds a master of fine arts from the prestigious Royal College of Art in London and has been recognized as a finalist by United Arrows and Onward Kashiyama.

Translating diversity and translating real life into poetic and sophisticated standout collections.

Keep pushing boundaries. Do what you truly believe in. Follow your dreams. Dreamers are Winners.


What is your favorite part about being a professor?
Working with fresh talent. Promoting growth and learning. Cultivate creativity, learn and grow, that is the essence of life.
