For my thesis, I was inspired by the beauty that comes from rebuilding yourself after hardship. To express this idea, I broke down old project scraps and transformed them into something more beautiful than the throwaway pieces they once were. I was also interested in pushing the boundaries of traditional garment construction, experimenting with details like collars and pockets, to further the idea of beauty in reconstruction and piecing yourself back together.
