Embodiment is a collection inspired by my own journey with body image. The collection has style lines in the form of piping and color blocking to emphasize the “ideal” figure. The looks feature exaggerated proportions to represent a distortion and manipulation of the body. The collection additionally features a textile that I created from strips of snap-tape. The textile is applied to a corseted bodice, as well as a miniskirt that fringes at the hem, to visualize a release from restriction.
