My thesis collection is inspired by macramé art. I incorporated macramé roping into every piece throughout the collection. Macramé is a handcrafted textile that uses knotting techniques. It is believed to have originated in the 13th century by Arabic decorative weavers. They would use decorative knots to finish the loose ends of handwoven textiles. My designs are for the working woman who needs an outfit to go from day to night. My collection is an ode to handcrafted art and textiles.
