A Femininity Interpretation

Coming from conservative Korean culture, this collection questions what is appropriate and what is inappropriate to wear, based on gender stereotypes. The collection is inspired by the artist Hannah Wilke, whose work is focused on female genitalia, which is considered the most inappropriate part of a woman’s body to be exposed. By exposing different areas of the body, we begin to question the concept of what is appropriate/inappropriate and what is acceptable/unacceptable in Korean society.
