Senior Executive Director, Social Justice Center at FIT

Constance C. R. White, the senior executive director of the Social Justice Center at FIT, is a veteran fashion expert, the author of two books on Black style, and a journalist who has written for The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
White has served as a fashion and media consultant and taught fashion and beauty writing at CUNY's Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism. Her podcast How To Slay, developed with Univision, covers fashion, diversity, and entrepreneurship. White started her fashion career at WWD and has held positions at The Times and eBay. White was the first African American woman to hold a senior post at a major fashion magazine and the first Black woman to cover the European shows for a major publication.
