New York City native Karen Groner graduated from Parsons School of Design and opened her own fashion business, Grownbeans, where she has designed, manufactured, and sold unique clothing to stores nationally and internationally for over 30 years. Grownbeans specializes in leather, suede, and repurposed fur. Groner has taught Fashion Design at FIT for 15 years in addition to maintaining her own design business.

What is your favorite part about being a professor?
Sharing with my students giving and taking a love and knowledge for fashion
