A faux fur top made from manufacturing remnants, and a recycled denim pant with personal coded messages of my handwriting directly written on the fabric.
The top’s details are made from cut up remnants of various fabrics, including the pant, and there are rosettes made from multiple fabrics including the original fur creating a slight hyper-textural element.
The inside of the top is lined with an organic cotton jersey fabric, and joined with an invisible zipper. The details, on the front, zipper, and lining is hand-sewn. The pant has a fly front zipper and frayed hems.
The pant consists of binary, hex, morse, code, and Farsi writing. The back has an image on each side that when joined, creates one image. The shoes are custom slip-on Vans made for the model.
Meet the Designer
Designing is more than a career, it is a means to empower others through their appearance. My vision capitalizes on the well of potential that resonates within each person and provides them with an outlet to express themselves, only then do I believe to have done myself and the world a service. I carry meaning in every move that I make in life, including in my work. I use thought, research, connections, life, emotion, and experience to create. My aesthetic frequently varies, I am everchanging. I typically keep to classic silhouettes. I mainly play around with materials, colors, and prints. My designs include humor, information, elements of sustainability, and a connection to my personal life. A message is most important to me, I feel that in this life, every moment that we have is a moment to choose and do better for our community, our planet, and for ourselves.
