This look is inspired by one’s path in life. Different roads don’t always meet up, but do go in the right direction for one’s future. This journey is represented by a tailored overcoat and coordinating set.

The pop of color represents how things are not always black and white, as simple as it seems. Sometimes there are unexpected elements that come into play to enhance the destination.

For the coordinating set, there is a clean and classic piece that compliments the coat that include modern details. The skirt features two slits and the top contrasting armhole.

The recurring black outline represents the roads or paths one decides to take in life. These were created as applique details with a machine topstitch.

The textiles used to create this look are wool melton, crepe, double wool suiting, gabardine and novelty cotton eyelet.

After my grandfather passed away, my nana decided to give me his old Singer sewing machine. I was eight years old and had never even thought of making clothes. However, something made my nana choose me, and from that day on, I haven’t stopped creating, designing, and challenging myself. I owe a great deal of my success to my grandparents for getting me started.  I now design to create clothes that highlight the beauty of the human body. People often view clothes as a way to divert attention away from their insecurities. I strive to create clothing that makes the wearer feel confident so they can put their real focus onto what they can do for the world while wearing my clothes.
