Disappeared Memory
Memories always fade over time, but everyone has memories that they never want to lose. My most precious memory would be my grandma’s face and her voice, two things that only exist in my memory. It always saddens me when the memories of my grandma eventually become blurry, no matter how hard I try to remember her. This collection takes inspiration from the transition of when distinct memory becomes indistinct.
The cropped trenchcoat and voluminous pleated circle skirt are in water-repellent faille.
The multilayered panels represent the disappearing memories and are cut into melting shapes.
The outlines of all panels are emphasized with bias tape and thread in contrasting colors.
The black tulle fluttering around the panels represents the remnants of a faint memory.
The skirt is pleated at the waist and spreads wide at the bottom.
