Metamorphosis: Distortion

Women are taught to change in order to fit the demanding expectations of society. Metamorphosis conveys this idea via its fabric manipulation and silhouettes. My pieces are composed of fabrics altered from their original state, rendering them unrecognizable, and the oversized silhouettes demonstrate how women are consumed by impossible expectations. This distortion is dark, but liberating; while women can lose themselves trying to please others, we can also reclaim our narrative.
