The Nightmare of the Daytime
My thesis collection was inspired by my love for horror films, combined with my passion for sportswear. I wanted to create a look that is elegantly horrific. I believe that fashion and horror together create a sense of suspense and shock. One inspiration I had is from the movie Poltergeist, when skeletons come up from the ground at the end. I created “bone” corsets that can be worn together to create a full external skeleton. Underneath are classic athleisure pieces with binded cut-outs.
