Divine Celestial
Far in the future, humans have looked otherworldly and have established themselves on neighboring planets. One of these planets was the crimson planet of Mars. Filled with colossal craters and vermillion deserts, this planet was thought to inhabitable, but this planet proved to be the new center of the galaxy. My thesis explores the viable wardrobe of an everyday person who lives on Mars. It consists of a dress paired with a draped cowl mimic the varying textures found on Mars.
Look is made from multiple ends of luxurious wool and mohair content.
Sequins are hand-sewn onto open work on dress.
Crochet ruffles in mohair are subtly placed onto oversized sleeves.
Sequins are also sewn onto the knit cowl and edge of crochet ruffled trim.
Crocheted ruffles are in mohair and are placed to highlight the open-work on the dress and sleeves.
