Holley St. Ext.

Holley St. Ext. is inspired by my ancestors in early 20th century Connecticut. I come from a long line of craftsmen; they were seamstresses, hatters, mechanics, and much more. Monopolizing one street in Danbury, Connecticut, my relatives created their own community as working-class Italian-Americans, where craft was a normal part of everyday life. Holley St. Ext. is an ode to highly crafted, well-tailored clothing and an urge to the industry to step back and embrace slow production.

A close-up image of the model wearing a leather jacket with a shearling collar and contrast plaid details. Under the jacket is a green plaid taffeta button-down with an exaggerated collar tucked into a houndstooth plaid wool skirt with a denim waistband and gold hardware. The background is two doorways with molding painted dark green.

Details of the vegan leather bomber with patch pockets, a shearling collar, and plaid details.

This is a shot of the full look from image one showing the full wool houndstooth skirt that flares and features contrast topstitching to match the denim waistband. The same background as image one.

The bomber is styled with a wool skirt and a silk taffeta button-down with an exaggerated collar.

Detail shot of bomber jacket

The wool flare skirt features contrast topstitching and denim details to match.

A front view of the look without the bomber jacket. The model is playing with the sweep and movement of the skirt, displaying the contrast denim hem facing. The taffeta blouse is now visible, displaying the exaggerated collar and extra large cuff. The background is the same as the previous images.

The contrast denim was also used as a hem facing to exaggerate the sweep of the skirt.

This image displays the back of the look without the jacket and the denim finishes on the wool skirt, such as the yoke, patch pockets, and waistband. The blouse is tucked into the skirt and the background is the same as the previous images.

The back of the full skirt features a denim yoke and patch pockets, styled back to the button down.
