Dream Butterflies

The Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi dreamed one day that he had turned into a butterfly. He wondered whether he was the butterfly that had turned into Zhuangzi or Zhuangzi who had turned into a butterfly in his dream. How does one recognize the real? If the dream is real enough, it is difficult for a man to know that he is dreaming. But it could also be a lucid dream about the unity of heaven and man. This garment is inspired by this theory and describe my feelings of illusion and reality.

Full body shoot. Kiwi color fabric background with a little bit gathered, with three white orchids on top. Gathering on the ground and covered with white orchids. The girl stands in the middle and toward the upper right with left hand crossed and right hand hanging naturally. She is wearing a nude organza dress with green beading embroidery from breast up to the waist. The gathering top layer of the dress is shorter than the underneath one, and both of them are gradually getting longer from front to back. Green thread embroidery that has similar shapes as leaves placed around the hem on front for the underneath layer and back for the top layer. She is wearing white strappy heel sandals.

Spiral boning for the top to give support, and all of the embellishments are sewed on by hand.
