The central idea of my thesis is inspired by marionettes and opera, with themes of  imitation and objectification of identity to create a sense of perceived control and a false sense of perception. In a rhetorical sense, marionettes also work as a reflection of personal identity. I attempt to draw the same parallels between the construction of identity to that of marionettes, contrasted with the concept of recreating certain fashion details, self-manufactured using 3D printing techniques.
